Easter Bath Bomb Workshop (£10) – booking required
Wednesday 19 April 2017
10-11am, Spielman Centre, Arnos Vale, BS4

Kids will enjoy making their own bath bombs and potions in this fun workshop. All materials will be provided including moulds, dried flowers, organic oils and salts, and for those wanting to add extra sparkle to these gorgeous fizzing bath treats, skin-friendly colours and ‘candy’ sprinkle toppings. We will also have a selection of magic growing animals to hide inside your egg-shaped bombs and a crafts table to decorate and gift wrap your creations. Budding scientists will enjoy reading up on the history, health benefits and mineral composition of key ingredients.

The cost includes:

  • 2-3 bath bombs with a selection of organic oils, dried flowers and skin calming pink clay
  • 200ml of organic bath potion in a Victorian-style jar
  • Easter crafts table including rabbit and chick gift boxes and 3D birds to make and colour

Suitable for ages 5+. Although guidance and support will be provided throughout the workshop, this event is very hands-on and tactile with children progressing at differing speeds. Therefore, adult supervision is required.

Kids will enjoy making their own bath bombs and potions in this fun workshop. Bath bomb and Love potion (bath soak) workshop (£10) – booking required

Kids will enjoy making their own heart shaped bath bombs and love potion in this fun Valentine’s-themed workshop. The workshop will be held next to the café within the Spielman Centre, situated in the heart of 45 acres of Victorian gardens and unspoiled woodland at Arnos Vale in the heart of Bristol. All materials are provided, including organic salts, essential oils and dried flowers – budding scientists will enjoy reading up on the health benefits and mineral composition of each. There will also be a dedicated craft table to gift wrap your bath bombs; to decorate your Love potions, to make a 3D Love Bird and to make and to make colourful Valentine’s Day cards.

Suitable for ages 6+. Adult supervision required.

Make your own bath bombs in a variety of shapes and scents with added organic pure essential oils and dried organic flowers. All materials provided and I will have a selection of magic growing animals for your children to embed within the bombs as an added surprise as the bombs melt.

Make palm free glycerine soap (£7.50) – booking required

Suitable for age 7+ with direct adult supervision as you will be melting glycerine soap using an individual heat source then adding organic pure essential oils; mineral extracted glitter micas; dried flowers and natural dyes to experiment with textures, colours and scents.

By popular demand I will be holding a workshop on making your own chocolate orange solid lotion bars using organic unrefined cocoa butter (obtained directly from the cocoa pod) plus make your own nourishing foot balm to moisturise and protect feet during the cold winter months.

Come to visit me at the oldest art trail in Bristol, where each year around 200 professional and amateur artists working in a wide variety of mediums display and sell their artwork to members of the public. I will be holding drop in children’s workshops making bath bombs (with hidden growing animals); bespoke bath soaks with a range of different salts; scents and dried organic flowers; and helping children explore making their own palm free glycerine soaps. In addition I will be holding an adults-only workshop on the Friday evening to make the ever popular Chocolate Orange solid lotion bars and a Lemon & Tea Tree Foot Balm to protect and nurture feet during the cold winter months. As part of the Bristol Open Doors Day and following the success of The Festivals of Nature, I was invited to attend a huge charity event at The Pavilions, Bedminster Down. The event was a massive success and raised over £900 that was for split between The Grand Appeal (Bristol children’s hospital charity) & Change a Life (supporting projects that address poverty and empower communities around the world).
